Recipes, made to keep

A beautifully bound cookbook filled with recipes worth keeping - your own, or gathered from the people you love.

"Each recipe is meaningful and from someone close to us. The personal notes and stories associated with each recipe made it really special. A totally unexpected and perfect present for our wedding."

- Daniel

What is a personalised cookbook?

A personalised cookbook is a printed book of recipes made for one particular person or family. You choose the recipes, write them up in your own words, add the photographs and the stories behind them, and we lay it out and print it as a proper hardback or paperback book.

Most people build one of two ways. Either you gather the recipes yourself - from a tin of handwritten cards, a family group chat, the dishes you have cooked for years - or you invite everyone to contribute their own. Contributors follow a link, write their recipe in their own words and add a note about why it matters. No account, about five minutes each.

The result is not a photo album with recipes in it. It is a cookbook: a contents page, an index, chapters that make sense and pages laid out to be cooked from.

How it works

1

Add your recipes

Add your own, invite family and friends to contribute theirs, or do both. Their words go in as they wrote them, which is usually what makes the book worth keeping.

2

We design & print

Pick a cover design, a size and a paper, and every page is laid out to the same template. You see the whole book and approve it before anything goes to print.

3

Delivered to your door

Printed and bound professionally, then delivered gift-ready. Printing and delivery usually takes 7-10 working days from the moment you approve it.

Recipe card scanner

Photograph a recipe card. Get a typed recipe.

The typing is what stops most people. Take a photo of a recipe card in the app and our AI reads it straight into your cookbook - handwriting included - so a tin of old cards becomes an afternoon rather than a winter.

  • Reads handwriting, not just print
  • Fills in the title, ingredients, method, times and servings as separate fields
  • Add several photos for one recipe when it runs over the back of the card
  • You check and edit every recipe before it goes anywhere near print

Cover design inspiration

A glimpse of what a book can look like for each occasion. These are starting points rather than a fixed set - every book begins from a professionally designed template you then make your own.

What goes inside

  • Recipes written up in each contributor's own words
  • Photos of the dish, the cook, or the original handwritten card
  • A note with every recipe about who it came from and when they make it
  • Chapters and dividers that match the way you actually cook
  • A printed contents page and index
  • Your chosen cover design, in hardback or paperback

Most books hold between 20 and 80 recipes, and can run to 300 pages if you need them. There are several sizes, square and rectangular, and a lay-flat binding upgrade if you want the book to stay open on the counter while you cook.

Why people choose us

Everyone can contribute

Family, friends or the whole team add their own recipes and messages from a single link. You see everything and approve the final selection before it prints.

Designed, not just collated

Every page is laid out to the same template, so the finished book reads like a book rather than a folder of printouts stuck in a binder.

Printed to keep

Hardback or paperback, your choice of paper, printed professionally through a proper print house - made to survive a kitchen, not a shelf.
