A personalised cookbook is a made-to-order thing: the recipes, the photographs, the notes about who cooked what and when. That is what makes it worth keeping, and it is also what makes it hard to buy for someone else - the choices are the gift. A gift card solves that. You buy the amount, we email it to them on the day you choose, and they build a book of their own recipes, or gather them from the people they love. Our cookbooks start at A$74.
How it works
1
Choose the amount
Four amounts people choose most often, or any amount you like between the limits shown. Our cookbooks start at A$74.
2
You get the code
The moment you pay we show you a link to share and a printable card with the code and your message on it. Your receipt is emailed to you.
3
They build their book
They add their own recipes, or invite family and friends by link - about five minutes each, no account needed - and approve the whole book before anything is printed.

Why a gift card works
The choices are the gift
Which recipes, whose handwriting, what goes on the cover - those decisions are the reason the book means anything. A gift card hands them over instead of guessing.
You give it, not us
We do not email them behind your back. You get a link to send and a printable card to put in an envelope, so you decide how and when it is handed over.
Print it or send it
Print the card and put it in with a birthday card, or send the link. Nothing to post, nothing to arrive late, and it works just as well ten minutes before you need it.
What goes inside
- Recipes written up in each contributor's own words
- Photos of the dish, the cook, or the original handwritten card
- A note with every recipe about who it came from and when they make it
- Chapters and dividers that match the way you actually cook
- A printed contents page and index
- Your chosen cover design, in hardback or paperback
Before you buy
How does a cookbook gift card work?
You choose an amount and who it is for. As soon as you pay we show you the code, a link you can send and a printable card - and email you all three. They redeem it against their own personalised cookbook.
How do they receive it?
However you like - that is the point. We never contact them, so nothing arrives early and nothing spoils the surprise. Send them the link, or print the card and put it in an envelope.
How much should I give?
Enough to cover the book you have in mind. Our cookbooks start at A$74, and the final price depends on the size, the paper, any binding upgrades and how many copies they order. The four amounts on this page are the ones people choose most often, and the price you see is the price you pay - no tax is added at checkout.
What if their cookbook costs more than the card?
They can pay the difference by card at checkout. One gift card can be used per order, and not alongside a discount code.
What if it costs less - do they lose the rest?
No. The balance stays on the card and they can spend it on a later order.
Does the card expire?
It is valid for 24 months from the day it is issued, and the expiry date is on the printable card.
Can I add a message?
Yes. There is a message box on the form and it is printed on the card exactly as you write it.
Can I change my mind after buying?
No. Because the code is issued and shown to you the moment you pay, a gift card purchase cannot be cancelled or refunded. You confirm you understand this before paying.
What can they spend it on?
A personalised cookbook: their own recipes, or recipes gathered from family and friends by link. Most books hold between 20 and 80 recipes and can run to 300 pages. You pick the final selection before it goes to print, so you can trim it or include everything that was sent in.
What if they live in another country?
That is fine. A card can be put towards an order in any of the currencies we sell in, and is converted automatically at checkout.
What if they are not much of a cook?
Most books are gathered rather than written. They send one link, family and friends each add a recipe and a note, and the book fills itself.
Is the payment secure?
Payment is taken by Stripe on this page. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our systems.
